Hello there, Iām Kyle.
I am an academic editor and an academic and language coach residing in Connecticut. I have been editing academic work since 2012 ā over twenty years!
I am a professionally-trained editor, proofreader, and teacher. (and, as it happens, a classically-trained flutist). I hold a Ph.D. in Hispanic Studies from Brown University, a well as professional certificates in proofreading, line editing, copy editing, and developmental editing. My editing expertise lies in the humanities, and my experience includes dissertations, academic articles, syllabi, book projects, job search materials, and tenure review portfolios. Additionally, I have significant experience editing Spanish-language manuscripts and editing the work of non-native English writing in English.
In my free time, I enjoy making and listening to music, making things out of wood, playing games with my family, making a mess in the kitchen, working on that black belt in taekwondo, or burying my nose in a book. All of this is fueled by copious amounts of Earl Grey tea.
