Language Coaching

Editing and Proofreading plus mentorship for scholars writing in English as a non-native language.

Are you writing in English, but English is not your first language? The language coaching package is a comprehensive program built around your work.

I edit and proofread your writing, then follow up periodically over Zoom to walk through the changes I’ve made and talk about the conventions of clear, idiomatic academic English. Over time, the patterns that we identify become a natural part of your writing practice and your drafts require less intervention.

It is the most personal way I work: part editing, part teaching, entirely focused on helping you write the English your ideas deserve with growing independence.

Common questions

Do I need to commit to the full program?

No. We can start with a single document and add coaching sessions if and when they’re useful to you.

What happens in a review session?

We screen-share your edited draft and I explain the why behind the changes—idiom, register, structure—so you can apply it next time.

Will this help with future writing?

That’s the goal! The style sheet and our conversations are designed to make you a more confident, independent writer in English.

Do you offer academic English coaching for non-native speakers?

Yes. This program is built specifically for scholars writing in English as a non-native language, pairing copy editing with coaching on idiom, register, and structure.

Ready when you are.
