A proofreader checks your proofs to ensure your work has been accurately typeset and no errors have been introduced, following the conventions of spelling, punctuation, and grammar. It is the last line of defense between your manuscript and the printed page.
I read against the copy-edited version, catch typesetting errors, broken cross-references, and stray inconsistencies, and return a clean, clearly marked set of corrections your publisher can act on.
Pricing shown is a rough approximation. Every project is quoted individually once I’ve seen a sample and your timeline. Discounts available for clients whose manuscript I copy edited.
